i also need a non-cat, but a dog would hate me for the size of my apartment, and the size of my apartment would likely make me hate just about anything (due to the predominance of the smell i would undoubtedly encounter).

Dachshunds, Greyhounds, Beagles, and most Terriers and Spaniels are great for small spaces ;)
I’ve had rats and I loved them. Once you get over the tail, they’re such fun little catdogs.

How that even works, I don’t know, but Dan and I were arguing about grammar and negatives, so I looked it up, and it’s a real thing! Here was the offending phrase, wrong to me, but I guess right to that crazy East coast :

Good Reads
Just signed up, and based on just the books that they quizzed me with, the ones on my shelf, and the ones I can remember reading recently, I have 98 books listed.
I know I read a lot but just looking at that number (and knowing it’s just brushing the surface anyhow) is impressive to me. That’s a lot of books. Maybe not like, proportionate to what other people have read but just as a number.
