Whaaaat?
So, my poor baby (macbookpro) has been having hella problems lately, and I am currently sitting in the Apple store because of that.
After the (really hot) guy at the genius bar couldn’t figure out what was up, he realized I was only running on 512 MB of RAM. He said the other stick wasn’t reading, so opened up my mac, and lo and behold…. there WAS no other stick. Someone fucking stole my memory.
So $100 later, my videos will hopefully edit in a much smoother fashion.
Fack.

This article says he payed $170 for two 1GB’s… I got one 1GB in-store, which was $100… ah well.

i have written these things not to chide, but to be helpful not only to you but to the rest of the people that read our tumblrs, for you may want to upgrade to a full 2 or 3 gigs, depending on your particular model of the MBP, seeing what you do with it.
Oh no, I really appreciate the help. I’m probably screwed as far as the RAM I just bought goes, but I should definitely look into maybe as large as 3 gigs to replace the other 512 I’ve got..
